Future Plan
1.Sewerage System (Waste Water Management System):

              At present there is no sewerage system Khulna City. Hence A mega project namely
             “Development of Sewerage System in Khulna City” has been undertaken by ADB financing.
              In the mean time,

Ø Feasibility Study and Master Plan for this “Development of Sewerage System in Khulna
    City” project have been completed by KWASA.
Ø Project Design, Drawing, Cost Estimation and DPP are under preparation by the Consultant
    engaged by ADB.
Ø DPP for land acquisition has already been approved by ECNEC. The investment DPP will be
    submitted to the Ministry soon.
Ø Tendering Process can be started within December,2018 while the implementation period
    of this project will be 2018-2023.
2.Khulna Water Supply Project (phase-II):
Ø KWASA has planned to start 2nd Phase of Khulna Water Supply Project from 2018 to achieve a ratio 90:10 of Surface Water to Underground Water which is to be ensured within 2024 through implementation of Surface Water Supply Project. ADB has shown interest for financing this project.
